Lamorna Penrose, raised in a creative environment in rural Cornwall, has had an innate passion for drawing and painting from a young age. After studying at Falmouth College of Art and later pursuing a degree in theatre and costume design at Wimbledon School of Art, she worked with international television and theatre companies, creating costumes and sets. Her return to Cornwall marked a turning point, as the local landscape and lifestyle deeply influenced her decision to focus solely on painting.

After taking a break to raise her two daughters, Lamorna has returned to her artistic practice, re-engaging with her painting. Now represented by a select number of galleries, including Rowbury, Lamorna’s work continues to reflect the beauty and tranquillity of Cornwall, capturing the essence of the natural world with a unique, personal touch.
